He owned a bakery at Adams, Wisc and worked at Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee, moved to Phillips, sold Raleigh Products and worked for the city of Phillips until retirement, then moved to Ladysmith in 1980. He belonged to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Roy) Haskins of Phillips, two grandchildren Jason of Beloit and Lisa (Jeff) Ender of Wasusau, one great-grandchild, Hohnathon, and a brother Jack Sobotik of Rapid City S.D.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 20, at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Ladysmith, with Father Phil Juza officiating. Burial will be in Saint Anthony's Cemetery, Troy, WI.

Friends may call after 5 P.M. Thursday at the Nash-Kackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith where they will be a scripture service at 7 P.M. followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary.
