Notes for ISAAC WISECARVER:
Ron From The McArthur Democrat-Enquirer, December 5,1895: "Levi Wyscarver of Indiana, is visiting his father, Isaac Wyscarver of
Jackson township."

From The McArthur Democrat-Enquirer, December 12,1895:
"Royal - December 9 - Isaac Wyskiver was born September 7th, 1803, near Winchester, Virginia. At the age of 8 years his parents
moved to Pennsylvania. After his father's death his mother and family moved to Noble county, O., and at the age of 27 Isaac married
Rebecca Rush, a widow with one child, and in the year 1849 he moved to Jackson township, Vinton county, and lived on the same
farm until September, 1895, when he and wife moved in with George Ringer, a son-in-law, in 1861. He volunteered in the 8th
O.V.I, and served nearly two years. He was taken prisoner while out foraging near Winchester, Virginia; was with the rebels three
months and eight days; said they used him well. He also served as a substitute in the 100 days' service for Samuel Cramblit. He was
drawing a pension of $12.00 per month. He was the father of nine children - four boys and five girls. Seven are yet living - two
boys in Indiana, one girl in Mo. and four in Ohio. The youngest, a daughter, is 48. Isaac had good teeth and knew how to use them
when fighting. He never had any trouble with neighbors, but did not allow any man to abuse him. His wife died March 16th, 1895.
Her age was 91 years, 5 months and 5 days; and he died December 1st, 1895, aged 92 years, 2 months and 23 days. Cause of death,
bronchitis. He had a twin brother living two years ago in Idaho." [Notes from Walker: I show Isaac W to be age 29 when he
married Rebecca. Also, some of George W's children moved to Guernsey Co, OH before George died.]
