If I get to Heaven before you do
I'll keep a place for you by the Great Crystal Sea
Where waves of mercy keep rolling in
And you will be there with me.
All of this life's troubles and grief will be or'
Only sweet, blissful memories remain,
that cause Us to praise the One who has brought us,
The One who our presence sustains.
As together we bask in the light of His presence,
Seeing loved ones, whether many or few, I know
They have been waiting and longing to greet me,
But heaven won't be heaven without you.

FUNERAL HOMES
I was mowing the lawn last Friday, I do my best thinking while I mow, and I was trying to recall of all the things that reminded me of Grandma Rapp. Many images filled my head that day; Grandma's house that seemed like "the grandma's house" that was over the river and through the woods, the smell of the pantry filled with frosted flakes and other wonderful stuff, the bin of flour, fresh hot doughnuts, sundae boats floating down the ditch alter a heavy rain, knitting quilts, doll blankets, mittens and slippers, cutthrought cribbage, Grandma working in the garden, and of course, the Packers. As I thought of all these things one thing started to emerge as something that reminded me of Grandma more then the others; her steadfast faith in God. There was no question of if God was there, that's just the way it was. He was personal to her, she relied on him. I won't even try to remember all the times I saw Grandma ask St. Anthony for help in finding something that was lost "Tony, Tony, look around, something's lost and must be found." Grandma always found what she was looking for, and over the years and with some amazing stories, so have I. Grandma's example of faith planted a seed in me and many others. Grandma maybe didn't even know it but she was planting her best crop ever. Then again, maybe she did!
